Scholarship Application process
The GS Scholarship Application Process:
Complete the application
Submit the application and all supporting documents
Attend an in-person interview with selection committee if your application is selected
Supporting documents:
Copy of most recent Official Transcript with cumulative GPA
Copy of ACT or SAT score report
Essay in the required formatting guidelines
Two Letters of Recommendation from Professional References listed on application
Applications and supporting documents can be submitted on the web. To submit your application on the web please complete the application form on this page and press submit. Then email your supporting documents to the address listed below.
Please include “Glenda Sneed Scholarship Applicant” in the SUBJECT of your email along with your full name and the date of your application in the BODY of your email. Attach your supporting documents to this email and send to LiveHealthy@GlendaSneed.org
Applications that are not accompanied by supporting documents will not be considered.
Essays
Provide responses to the essay questions on a word document.
Open-ended Essay (1 page max, single spaced, 11-point font, 1” margins)
Describe your interest in community health and/or healthcare fields in general. Include when you first became interested in these fields broadly or as a career interest.
Essay Questions (Respond to each question listed; 1 page max for all responses combined, single spaced, 11-point font, 1” margins)
Can you describe any volunteer or community service experience? Include total number of hours volunteered in the past calendar year.
Can you describe your understanding of social justice and how you hope to advance it in the future?
What do you hope to gain from the experience as a Glenda Sneed Scholar?
